The Press Liner is a pressure-sensitive liner that seals the neck of glass and PET bottles. It keeps the product safe inside, and it gives buyers a clear, visible sign that no one has opened the bottle. People also call it a pressure-sensitive adhesive liner. It is one of the most common liner types across pharma and supplement packaging.
How the Press Liner Works
One side carries the printed phrase “safety for your protection.” A thin layer of adhesive coats the underside. As you screw on the cap, it presses the liner firmly against the bottle neck and bonds it in place. The first time someone unscrews the cap, the liner stays on the bottle neck rather than the cap. This gives an immediate, visible tamper-evident signal. You can then peel it off easily by pulling from one side.
Where the Press Liner Is Used
This liner fits both 38/400 and 45/400 aluminum and TIN caps. Brands mostly use it for pharma packaging, especially pills, nutraceutical supplements, and tablets. It bonds by pressure rather than heat, so it works best with solid-form products. Liquids can cause it to deform, so we do not recommend it for liquid fills.
